Milan Meet Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s Entourage
Milan have reportedly made an approach for Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. According to Sky Italia, on Friday, Milan’s Mirabelli met with Giacomo Petralito, who is part of Aubameyang’s entourage.
Borussia Dortmund have set the asking price up to €70 million, but they could be forced to lower their demands. Aubameyang is considered one of the main alternatives for the primary target, Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata and probably the most realistic target, Fiorentina’s Nikola Kalinic.
The former Milan youth product had been a hot name for many top European clubs, such as the Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, English sides Chelsea and Manchester United, French runners-up Paris-Saint Germain, and even overseas, Chinese big spenders Tianjin Quanjian. However, Sky suggest that Aubameyang is fact, not fond of going to China and not attracted by the Premier League as well.
In addition, Real Madrid and Barcelona have given up on pursuing him and PSG have been hit back by Aubameyang’s father high salary demands of €12-14 million a year. Since the high interest in Gabon international has started to cool off, his father might be forced to accept an offer less than desired, and Milan will be waiting for the right time to move for the 27-year-old.
Milan’s officials will fly to Germany next week to formalize the Ricardo Rodriguez transfer, once Wolfsburg play the relegation play-off. They could also use this trip to try to negotiate personal terms with the Gabonese striker.
Aubameyang has finished this season’s Bundesliga top scorer with a total of 31 goals in 32 appearances.
