Milan Agree Deal For Lazio Defender Stefan De Vrij
According to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have reached an agreement in principle with Lazio for defender Stefan De Vrij for a sum of €25 million.
Inter have also been in discussion with the centre-back for several months, but Milan will reportedly offer a 4-year deal worth €4 million plus bonuses in order to beat out their city rivals. Mirabelli and Fassone have already spoken with the De Vrij’s agent and have scheduled another meeting for next week to to agree personal terms.
English sides Manchester United and Chelsea are also interested in signing the Dutch international, however Milan are said to be in the lead due to the good relationship with Lazio.
In addition, with Mattia De Sciglio almost certain to leave the Rossoneri, Calciomercato has reported that Mirabelli met with Faouzi Ghoulam’s agents on Friday. They have found an agreement on the basis of a 5-year contract worth €2 million a year, plus bonuses. The Milan officials have also spoken to Lorenzo Pellegrini’s entourage, altghough Roma hold a buyback clause on the Sassuolo midfielder.
