“The season is over. I only have to thank AC Milan. I was happy and I had the support and love of my teammates and fans as well. Thank you so much”, he wrote on the social media.
Deulofeu made a total of 17 Serie A appearances in the Red and Black jersey, managing to scoring four goals and bag three assists. In addition, as a result of the incredible season he had, he earned a recall in the Spain national team and scored on his comeback appearance.
His future from here on is pretty uncertain. Even though the 23-year-old is an Everton player, it is Barcelona who have an option to re-sign Gerard Deulofeu for €12 million. It remains to be seen if Milan will fight for the former Barcelona youth product or look for alternatives, such as Atalanta’s Alejandro Gomez.
In the meantime, you can always share your opinion on whether the Milan loanees should stay at Milan or leave the club.
