Milan Ponder Swoop For Barcelona’s Rafinha
Rafinha is the latest name linked to Milan.
Despite claiming that the squad is completed, reports in Italy reveal that Milan are still in the market for a new midfielder and are ready to lure Rafinha from Barcelona.
The Brazilian, who is under contract with Barca until 2020, is focused on his recovery ahead of the 2018 World Cup, so will demand first-team football. At Camp Nou, he is always a secondary option within the well-knit Spanish side.
Now according to Sky Italia, Milan have joined the race to lure Rafinha and see him as a replacement for Spartak Moscow bound M’baye Niang. In addition, the Catalan side would be willing to let him go on loan. Milan have already initiated contacts with Barcelona and could open talks with them in the coming days.
Rafinha was a regular starter for Luis Enrique’s side last season before an injury in April ended his campaign prematurely. It was only last month that he admitted his future at the Nou Camp was uncertain.
“My future is open and only God knows what will happen. I am a Barcelona player and the most important thing now is to recover from my knee injury and then you will see what happens. All I can say is that everything is open”, he said.
The 24-year-old, who missed the Blaugrana pre-season tour of the USA, notched 7 goals and 5 assists during last season.
