Bacca is set for the exit door.
Villarreal are edging closer to completing a deal for Milan striker Carlos Bacca, reports in Italy claim.
The Yellow Submarine are actively searching for a replacement for Roberto Soldado, who recently made a switch to Fenerbahce, with Bacca one of the first names on their radar. “The majority of Europe’s biggest clubs have already enquired about his situation”, his agent Sergio Barila told Caracol Radio.
According to Sky Italia, the 30-year-old Colombian international already agreed to join Villarreal but the final agreement between the two clubs is still missing. He is expected to leave on loan with an obligation to buy set at around €16-18 million, per Alfredo Pedulla.
Bacca left training early on Monday, as reports claim that he wanted to fly to Spain for his medical tests, but will have to wait for the definite agreement of the deal.
He has rarely been used by coach Vincenzo Montella in preseason was also left out of the squad for the Europa League playoff against Shkendija, increasing speculation that he is set for the San Siro exit door.
