Bayern Munich’s Renato Sanches Admits Milan Interest
Sanches could look for a suitor away from Germany.
Milan have shown interest in luring Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches from Bayern Munich this summer. The Portuguese starlet endured a tough time on Bavarian soil and in his opinion, joining the exciting Milan project could be the best thing for his career.
The Serie A side have been pursuing Sanches the past month, but they have failed to agree a deal with Bayern after holding talks. “I am young and would like to play more. As a result, I would like to join a club where I could get more playing time.
“Currently I am on the China tour with Bayern, but after we return I hope we find a solution. Joining Milan sounds like an interesting option. If the clubs manage to agree a deal, I would like to go there”, admitted Sanches to SportBild.
Even Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed earlier the interest, but said he doubted the Italian side would meet his club’s demands. According to the Record, the Rossoneri want to take the teenager on a 2-year loan deal with an option to make the deal permanent for a fee of €47 million.
The 19-year old was a winner of the 2016 Golden Boy award and voted best young player at Euro 2016.
