Genoa Agree Gianluca Lapadula Deal With Milan
Lapadula is set to move to Genoa.
Milan’s striker Gianluca Lapadula will move to fellow Serie A side Genoa, reports in Italy suggest. The two clubs have reached an agreement that would see the player leave on loan with obligation to buy.
Milan have let Lapadula join Genoa on a €2 million loan with obligation to buy for €11 million, according to Sky Italia. However, they are yet to agree personal terms with him. Whilst, TMW claim that he is expected to sign a 5-year contract with the Stadio Luigi Ferraris side.
He will be joining current teammate Andrea Bertolacci in the Rossoblu jersey, with Bertolacci returning there on a season-long dry loan. The 26-year-old has struggled with the Rossoneri due to injuries, poor form and tactical considerations.
“Bertolacci could arrive, but he can costs a few million. We have favorable deals with Milan, history tells you that. Lapadula is the best striker for us, and one of the best in Italy. We will try for him too”, Genoa president Enrico Preziosi admitted few days ago.
The 27-year-old striker joined the Italian outfit from Pescara last year, but struggled for game time, starting just 12 Serie A matches and scoring 8 goals in 27 appearances in total.
