Milan To Consider Domenico Berardi If Suso Leaves
Berardi is seen as Suso’s possible successor.
Milan are interested in making a move for Sassuolo’s striker Domenico Berardi in case they fail to convince Suso to stay, according to SportItalia. Suso is under contract at the San Siro until 2019, but has yet to agree an extension with the club.
The Spaniard’s contract extension talks have slowed down because the Rossoneri are willing to offer him €2 million salary per year, whilst his entourage wants €2.5 million. Several clubs including Serie A sides Roma and Napoli, and Tottenham have been following the situation, with each one hoping to become Suso’s possible suitor.
Furthermore, Berardi has been touted as one of the stars of the future in Italian football for some time now, and he scored 10 goals and bagged 9 assists in all competitions for Sassuolo last season. In spite of the increased speculation, the former Liverpool man Suso claimed last month that he has no intention of leaving Milan.
“We’ll see what happens in the summer. As I’ve always said, I’m very happy here and my dream is to play for this team. The important thing is that we got into the Europa League”, he said.
