Hakan Calhanoglu Agrees Milan Move
Calhanoglu could be Milan’s next signing.
Several reports suggest that Milan are on the verge of acquiring Bayer Leverkusen’s Hakan Calhanoglu after agreeing a deal with the midfielder. The Rossoneri have been negotiating with the player’s agent and they are expected to wrap up the transfer in the coming days.
According to Revier Sport, the Turkish international has agreed on a move to the Italian giants, while his agent Bektas Demirtas, has also commented on the situation and confirmed interest from Milan. “There is contact. Milan is one of the top European clubs. I would not like to comment on the content of the discussions”, he said.
It’s claimed negotiations are underway between the two clubs over a transfer fee, which is tipped to be between €20-30 million, as Milan look to make Calhanoglu their fifth summer signing. German Bild and Italian Sky have also confirmed there were contacts, but the German newspaper believes that Leverkusen directors’ idea is to get €25 million from this sale, while Sky Italia claims they have set the asking price at €30 million.
The 23-year-old, who primarily operates as an attacking midfielder, missed the last 4 months of last season due to a FIFA ban for a breach of contract, but prior to that he bagged 7 goals and 7 assists in 22 appearances in all competitions.
In interesting fact is that, if arrives, he would become the first Turk wearing the Rossoneri jersey in the 21st century.
