Milan Agree Deal For Sunderland’s Fabio Borini
There is a chance Borini could end up playing in Italy again next season.
Milan could reportedly add Sunderland’s out-of-favor ace Fabio Borini to their squad for the new season. Borini has previously also been linked with Italian side Lazio and Celtic, but it seems that Milan are now leading the race to sign the Italian striker.
According to SportItalia, Milan have reached an agreement to sign Sunderland’s Fabio Borini. However, a definite move for Borini at the San Siro has been put on hold for they have too many strikers in their team.
Milan met with Borini’s agent on Thursday but the Rossoneri have asked for some time to deal with current the forwards’ situation.
Marseille are very interested in signing AWOL star Carlos Bacca this summer, with former side Sevilla and Besiktas also on the list of possible suitors. Whilst, Gianluca Lapadula is on the radar of English clubs Everton and Brighton, but face the competition of Serie A teams Torino, Genoa, Lazio and Atalanta.
The 26-year-old, who is a player coach Vincenzo Montella likes, is expected to leave the Stadium of Light following Sunderland’s relegation from the Premier League. In addition, the former Roma and Parma man is reported to favor a move back to Italy.
He has managed only seven goals in 50 Premier League appearances, and after missing almost half of the season through injury, he found the net only twice last season.
